Edmunds - Shop Cars For Sale App Reviews

Pretty useful

Education is key when buying a car. This is a big help.

Really?

Says there are, say, 20 vehicles nearby that match my search criteria, but about half of them are the same car. Dont know if that is the dealers fault (GIGO?) but it makes the app not very helpful.

Very distracting ads

Recently Ive been seeing way too many distracting animated ads in the app. Some of these ads seem to reload every time you scroll, making it even more annoying.

Useless

I used to love this app, no more. I used it for the first time in a year to help a friend who is looking at a used vehicle. I was unable to get anywhere with it. The updates have made this into a non intuitive mess. It just makes no sense.

Unusable

Crashes every time I try to look at a vehicle. I have an iPhone 6S, no reason for this to crash 100% of time.

Used to love this app

The never ending, always reloading, advertisements on this app have ruined it. Edmunds, if I want to research a vehicle, do you think that I want to see the never ending Acura ads every time I select a car or view? I guess Ill use a different site.

It wont update

The app wont update and wont even let me download

Too slow

Loading takes a lot of time and after that you may or may not see all the pictures and the specs of the car you chose

Needs usability improvements

Compared to its competition, Edmunds needs to rethink the user interface. There is nothing intuitive about it which is too bad because I feel their content is usually very good. Please use some common sense and improve ease of use for iPad and iPhone apps.

Waste of app space.

Only thing you can do with this app to shop for a new car you cannot do an appraisal on your trade-in which is half of the whole buying process. The process and they put in the floor you can search for a vehicle. Big deal I can go anywhere for that. Their website is much better, they need to incorporate their website programs into this app. I would scrap this app and start all over again from scratch.

Very useful and informative

Ive been a regular user of this app for several years. The latest update brings some UI improvements that makes it easier to navigate and use. As an auto enthusiast I would love to have a feature that lets me know when new car reviews have been added. Keep up the good work!

Waste of time.

Could find an F-250 within 100 miles of me. Only found 1 single F-350 within 100 miles and it was listed at almost $9,000 over book value. I can go outside my door throw one rock and ricochet bounces rock off 20 trucks for sale within 1 mile, yeah my throwing arm is boss. If you are looking for a brand new car on a dealers lot this app might work for you. App was promoted as a new and used car finder, so where are the used cars ?

Great app

Great app, easy to use

Helpful

Looking for a used car. This interface makes it really easy to find values, TCO, and reviews.

Best app for car research

It gets extremely tedious, having to flip through various tabs on your phone while researching cars, but this app keeps all that tedious work in one place, and has plenty of info on tons of cars to boot. 10/10 would recommend

Ideas

How about incorporating a tab in the drop-down menu with all the cars that have received an "A" grade and/or 5star user review? Also, the same reviews for all classes of a particular model isnt really helping me.

Dont download this App. Waste of space on your phone.

Bad app does not give you any more information than your 2 year old granddaughter can look up. 1-10. I say this rates a 1

Overall

This app has helped a lot. Ive been looking for a car, and all the info it gives you when you look at the cars is soooo helpful. And the fact that it has most of all the car brands, and the vehicles.

Whats the point pricing = MSRP

The reason I do research is to determine pricing to negotiate down to. From what I was able to find on this app the dealers who had "deals" that I found online didnt show up in search with app. All searches I did resulted in MSRP pricing, I already knew what the dealer wanted me to think was fair (MSRP). If in fact Consumers cant really negotiate base price nowadays someone just needs to say that lol. I suppose I will use the pfft/walk away trick and see what that generates. I wouldnt waste the d/l time with thus app.

The price can no longer be trusted

Rave 4 le awd price on Edmund increased from 23725 to 25625. I understand there r high demand for rave 4 but if Edmund put such high price for rave 4, it really give customers false assumption that they got reasonable price but they actually dont. Customers will pay more than they supposed to period by period. There is no reason to use Edmund promise price if customers can negotiate a price that way below than the price on Edmund. Im very frustrated that Edmund compromised to dealers price.
